By default, when you use Installatron, the application you add will be automatically upgraded whenever a new version is available (and a backup will be kept, just in case).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"installing-applications-using-installatron\" class=\"sectionedit2\">Installing Applications Using Installatron<\/h2>\n<div class=\"level2\">\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">To get started you\u2019ll need to login to your control panel by going to\u00a0<a class=\"urlextern\" title=\"https:\/\/plymouthcreate.net\/dashboard\" href=\"https:\/\/plymouthcreate.net\/dashboard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/plymouthcreate.net\/dashboard\/<\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">Here you\u2019ll login with your PSU CampusID and password.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/support.plymouthcreate.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Screen-Shot-2016-12-14-at-10.17.24-AM.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-271\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-653 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/support.plymouthcreate.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Screen-Shot-2016-12-14-at-10.17.24-AM-1024x733.png\" alt=\"PSU Log in page\" width=\"648\" height=\"464\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">Once logged in you\u2019ll be at the homepage of your control panel. You will need to scroll down until you see a section of the Control Panel labeled \u201cWeb Applications.\u201d Within this section you will see a\u00a0link to the\u00a0<strong>Installatron<\/strong>\u00a0which you should click.\u200b Or, you can type &#8220;installatron&#8221; (without quotes)\u00a0into the search bar. \u00a0When you press enter you will automatically be redirected to the Installatron page.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/support.plymouthcreate.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Installatron-Search.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-347\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-654 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/support.plymouthcreate.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Installatron-Search-1024x493.png\" width=\"648\" height=\"312\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">When Installatron opens, you will see a list of any applications you\u2019ve already installed. To install something new, click on the\u00a0Applications Browser\u00a0button (labeled with a large star).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/support.plymouthcreate.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Installatron-Apps.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-284\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-655 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/support.plymouthcreate.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Installatron-Apps-1024x497.png\" width=\"648\" height=\"315\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">A listing of all of the applications you can install be default in Installatron will appear. Browse to the one you want to install, and click the icon.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">After clicking the icon, a page will appear with information about the application, links to resources, and a link to install it.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/support.plymouthcreate.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Installatron-App-Window.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-285\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-656 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/support.plymouthcreate.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Installatron-App-Window-1024x389.png\" width=\"648\" height=\"246\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">Click \u201cInstall this application\u201d when you are ready.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">A page will appear with a number of settings you can choose\/change. The image below shows these settings; here is a rundown of them:<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/support.plymouthcreate.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Installatron-Omeka-Install.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-287\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-657 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/support.plymouthcreate.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Installatron-Omeka-Install-926x1024.png\" width=\"648\" height=\"717\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">Location: You\u2019ll need to choose where to install your new application. You can install it at the root of your domain or in a subdomain (which you need to set up first). In addition, you can place your application in a folder (in either your root domain or a subdomain)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">Version Information: You can choose a version of the application. Generally, we recommend choosing the default version. It is likely to be the most recent, stable release.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">Updates &#038; Database Management: By default, the system is set up to automatically upgrade (and create backups upon upgrading) all applications. In addition, by default, the database will be set up for you automatically.\u00a0<em>We recommend NOT changing these options<\/em>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">Username\/Password: An username\/password will be automatically generated for you. You can choose to change this, if you like.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"level1\">\n<div class=\"li\">Click Install: After installation, you\u2019ll be taken back to the main Installatron page, with details about the application you just installed. At anytime you can come back here to review the application details, back it up manually, or uninstall it.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/plymouthcreate.net\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/app-controls.001-e1458327343568.jpeg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-288\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-288\" src=\"http:\/\/plymouthcreate.net\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/app-controls.001-e1458327343568-1024x205.jpeg\" alt=\"app controls.001\" width=\"648\" height=\"130\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To get to your new site, you can click the \u201cwebsite\u201d link.
